Take a Tour of Coors

One of our favorite aspects of Golden is that we're home to the Coors Brewery! The entire Denver Metro area is known for its love of all things beer-related, but in our completely Golden-biased opinion, we think that the Coors Brewery Tour is the best of any beer tour! Did you know that the Coors Brewery is the world's largest single site brewery? Whether you're new to Golden or have just never had the time to see it up close and personal, the Coors Brewery Tour is a must-do on the Golden bucket list!

When
Right now, the brewery is open every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The brewery is open to tours seven days a week from June 1 through August 17. Hours are 10 AM to 4 PM every day except Sunday, when hours are noon to 4 PM. Please note, the brewery is closed on most major holidays. You may view the full list on the tour website.

Where
Tours meet on the corner of 13 & Ford Streets, which is where the visitor's parking lot is located. It is a quick 9-minute drive from Outlook Golden Ridge apartment homes to the brewery! The brewery is also accessible by light rail and bus! We are located very close to the light rail, too!

What
If we have piqued your interest, you'll certainly be excited about this next part - the beer! The 30-minute tour guides you through malting, brewing and packing of Coors and concludes in the "fresh beer room," where attendees 21 years of age and older may sample some Coors brews! Non-alcoholic beverages are also available. Tourists under 18 years of age are admitted with the presence of an adult.

For additional information, be sure to visit the official Coors Brewery tour site or Visit Golden!

Are you ready to check out one of Golden's coolest attractions? Gather your friends for a quick afternoon or evening trip to this Golden landmark! Let us know how your tour goes on the Outlook Golden Ridge Facebook and/or Twitter pages!

Denver Housing Costs on the Rise

According to housing research company RealtyTrac, housing costs in the Denver metro area are not only on the rise, but sharply increasing. Houses in the Denver market are selling at an average cost of $350,000, with houses in Boulder selling for $835,000. While the average costs of purchasing a home is high, the number of available houses on the market is unusually low for the area. What does this mean if you're searching for a home? From the Denver Post:

"As year-over-year housing prices continue to increase, home affordability is going to become a greater issue as the entry point for first-time buyers grows higher and higher," said Anthony Rael, chairman of the Denver Realtors market trends committee.

If you don't have $350,000 to invest in purchasing a house, consider the alternative of living in an apartment home like Outlook Golden Ridge instead!

Why Golden?
Golden is only a 25-minute drive away from Denver, meaning you can enjoy the advantages of both city and suburban life. Is your favorite band performing in Denver? Great, you can drive there in hardly any time at all! At the same time, you won't have to pay higher rent costs for living in the city. Golden is a quiet, tightly-knit community, so you won't feel like just a number living in Denver.

Why Outlook Golden Ridge?
Outlook Golden Ridge apartments will offer studio, 1 and 2 bedroom homes located just across the light rail for easy access into the city! Our community will feature a hot tub and swimming pool for all to enjoy, and beautiful finishes in each home. While we are currently under construction, check back on our website and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the most up-to-date information! We hope to show you around the property soon!
